This study aims to propose a method for teaching married female immigrants the Korean refusal speech acts by using “Webtoons”. This study reviewed the Korean rejection strategy types proposed through previous studies and discussed the usefulness of webtoons in Korean language education. Based on that content, this paper designs a class on Korean refusal speech acts by using and applied it to Korean language classes. Educational implications were derived by analyzing the results of a class satisfaction survey for learners and institutional personnel. This study explored the possibility of using webtoons in the education of Korean refusal speech acts for female married immigrants and suggested pedagogic implications through class design and application.
